HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! need to know where i can get bios chip! flashed down and well you know the rest of the story! _ucked up is what i did and now i need a chip! anyone with any ideas? thanks in advance

In times like this, a good relationship with your retailer can make your life much easier. I would ask the retailer to sell me a BIOS chip for the board with the latest Bios version already burn in the chip. All I have to do is swap the chip. I did it with my SuperMicro & Epox boards. I haven't tried replacing an MSI chip but I'm sure it's the same.

You could try contacting MSI direct if your retailer would not give you service.

BIOS chip is usually about $15 including shipping.

got any suggetions as to a retailer? bought the board off the forum and that is why im looking for a good source. was trying to get the raid flashed out and boy did i flash it out! even swapped with my neghbor and the part numbers will not let you do that. thanks again!

As I've mentioned, I rely on local retailer for this type of service. Byteware, my local retailer, did it for me for my SuperMicro. For my Epox motherboard, I contacted Epox direct. Have you tried contacting MSI direct? I haven't yet needed a BIOS chip for my 694D, so I have not tried contacting anyone for it.

When I contacted Epox direct, they didn't care where the board was purchased, they simply told me to send them a check for $15 and a few days later, I got the chip.
