MSI 6182

Ok new board, processor(celeron566) and slocket. When I boot up is shows processor as pIII 556 @127 mhz. Wcpuid shows 66mhz bus at 8.5 but the overclocking software says its at 140 bus at 8.5 multiplyer. In the bios it only goes to 8. Any idea to get this thing to overclock. I have been using generic slockets and also has an iwill but no luck.

What overclocking software? CPUID is more likely to be correct.
Also, the MSI 6182 series boards are not very fun to overclock on. WTF were they thinking with that jumper/CPU Plug and Play crap? I've built three systems with 6182s (two 6182D and one 6182E) and my experience has been:

Boot into bios setup
OC to 100 mhz FSB
Restart system and watch it freeze (with the two center diagnostic LEDs lit)
Turn system off and remove the left "overclocking" jumper
Reboot system and FINALLY make it into Windows

And to go back to the default 66 mhz FSB it's the same crap all over again! :|

Which version of the board do you have?
