Just want to share some preliminary benchmarks of my twin frozr in SLI that I've had for a week now. Been running at 950mhz stable for past 3 days.

First a pic of the two twins :) My case is cramped and a tad messy.

System specs
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Asus P7P55D-E Deluxe
i5-760 @ 3.6ghz with CM Hyper 212 plus
6gb ddr3 1333
MSI 560 GTX Ti Twin Frozr II in SLI @950/1900/2200
Zalman 850-HP PSU
CM Storm case (cramped inside, need a bigger one badly)
Acer X233H 23" widescreen @ 1920x1080p

One screenshot to start with and I'll add more later. This one shows 3dmark 11, Unigine Heaven and Metro 2033 benchmarks

EDIT: By request added a screenshot below with Metro 2033 max settings(4xMSAA + DOF on) on the left and for kicks one the right is with 4xMSAA but DOF off:

To summarize Metro 2033 scores -- all with physx off

Max settings: 1920x1080 DX11, Very High, 4xMSAA/16AF, DOF on: Ave: 36.5
Anandtech benchmark settings: DX11, Very High, Analytical AA/16AF, DOF off: Ave: 64.5

EDIT: Added Stalker: Clear Sky benchmark below at DX10

I'm using 3dmark 11 since I got a free copy with the Twin Frozr.

I bought Metro 2033 just a few days ago to get a game that really challenges the GPU. The most intense game prior to that was BFBC2. More benchmarks to come including Stalker: Clear Sky and 3dmark vantage and pics of the inside of the case.

Metro 2033 without SLI is 36 fps so I'm pretty happy with averaging 64 fps with SLI. As you can see the cooling is amazing on the twin frozr. At idle at @950mhz it's 26C and at load it's high 50s, haven't seen it go above 60C. EDIT: Sorry that's high 40s at load, not 50!

Can anybody suggest a game that is even more GPU intensive than Metro 2033?

Thanks for reading :)

Do me a favor please, run the benchmark for Metro 2033 over with everything to the max and DOF enabled.

Run the Stalker clear sky benchmark, everything turned up, it's VERY demanding. Let's see the results !

Actually I thought I was running Metro at max. DX11, Very High quality, Analytical AA/16AF. What is considered the highest setting? It seems everyone recommends turning Physx off.

Ok, just ran it with DOF on with same settings and that reduces my fps to 45fps. What exactly does that do?

Then I changed the AAA to 4xMSAA with DOF on and I'm down to 36fps. Ouch, with SLI disabled it's 17fps.

From reading Anand's reviews and others it's really hard to tell if people have DOF enabled or not.

I will post those results run the Clear Sky benchmark when I get home from work tonight.

I see no point to testing with DOF on.. to me it's a useless setting that destroys playability with little improvement on visuals

Try the STALKER: COP benchmark too if you don't mind.

just saying

-you might find the Metro 2033 bench a bit light on stress ,
my 570's showed 980mb of vram used in the maxed out bench ,but in the maxed out game it maxed my vram to 1275mb @ 1920x1200.

Can you confirm please, the 1st screenshot CPUID hardware monitor has GPU temp min = 26, max 1st digit looks like a 6?

Thanks for the benches.

It's nice to see user reviews for recent products as of late. I'm glad i've done (and not completely added more parts) my review and seeing others makes this forum truly a forum.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Edit: GPUz Release Date: January 25 2010? 2010? Really?

:D

I just got that card today as well. I like it very much. I just wish you could lower the fan speed below 40% because it gets loud under load. I think its louder than stock fan at load..

Good eye. I just did a quick run of Metro at max(4xmsaa + DOF on) with ambient temp of 62F(I keep the place cool in the morning) and I hit a max of 59C. I know when I ran those first benchmarks it was in the evening at was probably 66-68F ambient so it probably did hit 60C+ max. But overall if I'm playing at regular settings(AAA + DOF off) and I tab in and out to check the temps they usually are in the 40s with a high in the 50s. Not very scientific testing that's for sure ;)

I'll answer the rest of the questions when I get home from work tonight. I don't have Just Cause 2 nor Call of Pripiet installed to test as you guys asked, I could get them on Steam but I already have so many games installed lol. I don't know of a good BFBC2 benchmark and I don't play singleplayer so it's hard to give feedback except to say on max settings at DX11, 8xaa/16af I easily hit avg 100fps on just about any map.

LiuKang: nice triplets to go with that mug :)

Anyway, gotta go.
