MSFT Keyboard.. IntelliType Pro 2.2...

Trying to install the keyboard software for my keyboard on this Windows XP SP1 computer.. I downloaded the installer .exe, ran it.. it extracted the files, then proceeds to run setup.exe from its root install dir. At which point, it returns 'Setup.exe could not be started.'

I tried redownloading and running it again. same thing.

Checked the event viewer, and nothing shows up there..

Any clues?

Do you have antivirus software running or certain firewalls can prevent installation.
Try booting up into safe mode and trying it.

No Antivirus software, just running XP firewall..

And I tried safemode, same error.

I know this is an old thread but did anyone have an ANSWER.
I have the exact same problem.
I would really appreciate some HELP!
