was messing around in msconfig last nite now nothing is running even though theres a check mark next to it. can sum1 help me fix this problem please? running windows xp

I'm running XP so I don't know how it looks in Win 7. On my system, the General tab of MSCONFIG has a check box labeled, Normal startup - load all drivers and services. If that's not checked on your machine, do it, and try again.

Hope that helps. 🙂

Oops. Just noticed that you said the something is checked, possibly the check box I noted. Also, check under the Startup tab. You'll find two buttons, Enable All and Disable All If the Enable All button is not greyed out, you can re-enabled any critical function you may have blocked.

And you can always try System Restore to a date prior to your "fix."
