MS Zune Software -- No picks for me?

When I sign into the marketplace on the Zune software now it tells me I have no picks and I have to listen to and rate more music. When I sign into Zune online and go to my homepage, it has picks for me there. Why doesn't this sync with the software? Up until a week or two ago, the software was listing picks for me, but for some reason, now it is not. Any ideas?
 
Not sure if this may be part or even related to your problem problem, but I read an article on Engadget that the Zune software isn't properly counting plays:

I never really liked the Quick Picks, so I use the Smart DJ list...create one then on the Playlist screen, go to Edit Playlist for that Smart DJ playlist and check either the mix of your content and zune marketplace or just zune marketplace. Then I can review and mark the ones I like when i have more time.

It works great for finding new stuff 🙂
 
Wouldn't shock me at all if that was related. I was just noticing that podcasts wouldn't show as played if I skipped through them via the fast-forward skip. Bugs... who knew? 🙂

Funny enough, I did some music discovery with last.fm on my 360 last night... put in a channel, went back to writing/coding, and whenever I heard something I vaguely liked, I took a peek and downloaded it via subscription. last.fm with tagging on the Zune would be insane, IMHO.
 
Has the marketplace been ridiculously slow for anyone else? Just navigating it has been a chore for me lately. Maybe I'm just unlucky and pick the heavy usage times to surf.

It's been a bit slower for me in the past couple days, too. I assume it's just a load issue from new Zune HD owners coming online.
