alright Word gurus, i've got a mission for you - if you choose to accept it!

i've got an MS Word document setup like a book. the first page has a table of contents with entries that are hyperlinked to the actual location of those entries in the document.

so when i click on the hyperlink called "chapter 5", it takes me to chapter 5 (severl pages down). now, i want to create a custom button that sits up where the toolbars are which i can click and will take me back to the table of contents page (regardless of where i am in the document). this allows me to quickly get back to the table of contenets without having to scroll up or drag up.

i know it's not really necessary but it would add great value for the customer.

thanks

If you are putting a button in the toolbar on your computer, i'm pretty sure it will only show up on your computer. So if you send this book to somebody else, that button isn't going to be there.

ok, maybe toolbar isn't the right word. it's that area on microsoft word where you can add all the tools (e.g. form, standard) to. let's also assume that even if that were the case, i'll be developing this document on the customer's computer to start with.

so then, how would i do it?

thanks
