I have a client who I forwarded some documents. I created them in MS Word format, for ease of use and editing. Problem is, this guy doesn't have Word on his PC, and doesn't care to purchase it. He is using MS Works, (for some unknown reason).
Anyway, he is unable to edit these docs as I intended him to do and as he needs to do. Is there a solution for this cheapskate? ;)

Thanks for the quick replies, guys. I think I'll have him run open office and see if that works for him.

Why not just look at the "Save as Type" listing when you go to save your document. Rich Text will work for him but there is also formats such as Works 2000 and Works 4.0 for Windows listed there as save formats. No need to have him go through installing new programs. For your existing documents, just reopen them and then do a Save As for one of the mentioned formats. He'll thank you for this.
