I was writing a document on MS work and clicked to edit some of the text when the margins just got messed up. The vertical margins (defined by the ruler on the left side of the MS word work space) now shows that I have no margin from the top of the page. However in page settings it shows the correct margins.

Is there a way to get the default MS settings back?

thanks

What happens when you go under File --> Page Setup --> Margins and click on the Default button?

Have you tried opening a new document and then doing a select all in the edit tab and pasting your entire document onto the new document? This used to work in Word when template files (.dot) got corrupt due to a virus or failure during a save.

This is Word's biggest flaw. The "Default" button means it makes the current settings the default for new documents.
