MS Wireless Desktop 6000 - $24.95 CC

Should be about $20 AR for military this week... there's a 10% off coupon if you're active duty, retired military, reserve. Or fire, police, or rescue worker.

Where's the coupon?? First I've heard of this.

I got the MS Wireless Desktop 5000 from Staples earlier this month for $20 after $20 MIR. From the same picture CC has, the 6000 looks identical to the 5000. I'm very pleased with my set.

I wouldn't worry about MS rebates if I were you-they are one of the most reliable outfits out there regarding payment of their rebates.

They are not identical. I think the keyboard is same, but the mouse is different. In the Desktop 5000 combo, the mouse is wireless IntelliMouse 2.0 but in the Desktop 6000 combo, it's wireless laser 6000 mouse.
BTW, did you see the Free USB Drive thread? Do you still think the company is the most reliable company?

I just got the 6000 from a previous deal and I don't like the keyboard. Every once in a while it doesn't pick up a keypress. It's very annoying since I use mine for coding all the time. Mine's heading for ebay.

Not so! fwiw - While the 6000 series has a "high definition laser" mouse, the 5000 has a "high definition optical" mouse. The IntilliMouse 2.0 looks similar but is not the "high def" model.

It is actually, $99.99 - $50 (Instant Rebate)= $49.99 - $25 ($15 CC + $10 MS) = $24.99 roughly speaking.

$69.98 - $10 is - $20 er = $39.98

Not as cheap, but probably a better setup and definitely a hot deal.

I would agree that this is a hot deal, but I would disagree with this being a better setup. I've been much more satisfied with Microsoft's input products over Logitech's lately.

They've changed the amount of the CC rebate to match their ad pricing, which just causes buyers to seek the earlier forms. And today they've botched the OTD pricing as well as mentioned above being $69.99!! :| Is this any way to run a retail business. And now not available online.

i was able to pricematch at staples...and with the microsoft rebate it comes to $35.

luckily i had a $10 staples coupon on top of that--so i was able to get in on the deal, yay!

I think he is talking about rebates, which have some contractual obligations the last time I checked. The free USB drive is a gratuitous freebie without any obligations. Sorry, didn't mean to sidetrack this thread. Just clarifying some stuff.

anyone have a copy of the original $15 CC MIR form - register strip or online form??

I picked up this item at local b&m but after getting home I noticed that they only printed out the ms mir form and not the CC form.:disgust:
