Hi,

This is what I am have been trying to do. I have a bunch of file starting with the extension .001 and going towards .999 (eventually). The first file is filename.001 then filename.002 and so on. I would like to associate each of these with notepad.

I have tried creating extensions using wild characters like *, but so success. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for any help.

Yes, but when I receive or send one of these files as an attachment, (using Lotus Notes) and I or the other party tries to launch the document, windows doesn't know what do to.

So there isn't a way to do this?

No, you'll hae to create each extension mapping individualy (yes, all 1000 of em). Wildcards aren't supported.

Sorry,
Bill
