Has anyone gotten to try out the new MS Sidewinder yet? Does it have the same craptastic scroll wheel completely devoid of any tactile sensation as the Intellimouse? Or did they finally give it a decent feeling wheel? Any other first impressions?

I would make a comment about how only Razer should be allowed to use snake names for their mice, but I suppose MS did get there first in this case 😛...
 
I'd like to see some Sidewinder reviews myself. I am thinking about either the Sidewinder or the Logitech G9.

I've seen the G9 and like what I see. Still I am curious of what the newest MS offering brings to the table...
 
Holy thread revival...

Since I posted this thread a few months ago, I've gotten to be more interested in a nice wireless mouse, so unless MS releases an RF version of this, I'll probably be considering something else.
 
Wireless mice arne't worth it. I have an MX Revolution and an MX610. Both are erratic sometimes, maybe because of interference. For games the DPI just isn't enough. The Revo must have some kind of smoothing built into the driver, but if you draw a curved line with the MX610 in MS Paint, it will come out jagged.
