MS posts how to work around Win11 system requirements!

I wonder whether the registry key can simply be added while running Win11 setup, ie. at the first opportunity that one can do Shift+F10, run regedit). I might try it on a spare PC.

I also wonder if MS posted this information because they're feeling sad that Win11's adoption rates are pretty embarrassing :)

cool. have you done this? I tried installing windows an linux from a program called rufus. most of the time is just doesn't work right...been using balenaetcher to just install images directly most of the time other than windows as it uses its own tool.

Yep. Ventoy with that ventoy.json file and VTOY_WIN11_BYPASS_CHECK =1 entry in /ventoy directory skipped the hardware requirement check.

YUMI also supports multiboot, but Ventoy is much easier and elegant.

Rufus supports Win11 hardware bypass as well since v3.16 but only supports one OS on a flash drive so I switched to Ventoy.
