be careful before you request a PC without an OS... rewards have been posted for your enquiry details:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/2/18589.html
"five Microsoft game titles for grassing out a bidder on 250 machines; that plus a Fossil Big Tic watch for 500 machines; and those plus a Fast Cook and Grill Combo and Travel Chair for 1,000 or more."
:D

You guys should take this a little more seriously. Russ has received this e-mail has well from MS. He refused too follow it off course. There was quite a large thread about it in Off topic.

I feel that maybe some people take the politics of hardware and software a little too seriously, but hey if all I have to do is request a bid on 1000 barebones systems with no OS and Russ gets stuff, sounds like a HOT DEAL to me! Is there a limit, or does he get stuff everytime I request a bid...now that would be FLAMING HOT!

Good for Russ! The MS police are buggin' me! I have 100% licenced software on my pc, and am very very proud of it! On the other hand, I WOULD request an o/s free pc, because, gee, I don't need a licence for LINUX.

I'm happy to see that just because MS thinks they rule the universe, everyone else doesn't just "baaa" and go along with it.
