MS Outlook

I'm having a problem with Outlook, and I'm not sure what the cause is. I created a new folder underneath my "inbox" folder. However, whenever I try to drag a message into that new folder, the message disappears. It's a little weird. I've checked my message rules and that doesn't seem to be the problem. It's like a black hole. Anything I put into the folder just disappears, and the folder remains empty.

Any suggestions?

I'm going to do so, but the problem is, the emails that were previously in that folder were somehow lost. And I need to get them back. They're not appearing in the deleted folder.

It seems pretty bizarre. I move an email message from another folder, to the folder in question. After dropping it, the email disappears completely. It does not appear in either folder. It's only one folder that's giving me a problem.

You can also try using scanpst.exe. (Inbox repair tool.) If your pst file starts to get corrupt, you will see weird stuff happen.
