I normally don?t use my Outlook POP email unless I am sending large PDF files that I can't send using hotmail. Last year I installed a digital ID and email worked fine. I haven't used my mail in awhile and my digital ID is now expired. Now when I try to send an email, it is returned as undeliverable, and says I should authenticate first.
I tried to uninstall the Digital ID, but can?t find it. I have also cleared all the boxes in the security settings of Outlook.
Does anybody know how to help me fix this?
I am using outlook XP and have tried to delete my ID, but it is not there. I have also tried to enable SMTP and disable it, still with no luck.
Ironically, when I test the account settings, It does send a test message to myself.

I may be wrong but some servers require you to check your mail via POP before sending via SMTP and will return messages sent without checking POP first. When Outlook tests the account, it checks POP and then sends, so that is why the test passed. I could be wrong though.
