MS Office 97 question

RayZor

Senior member
I have a problem with Office 97 @ work, when I try to start Access 97, I get a dialog box saying "MS Access cannot start because it has no License on this machine". Now it's a licensed, legit, copy of office. All the other apps, (Word, Excel. PP,) work fine, only Access gives me this error, anyone have any clues???

TIA

Ray

Is it possible that you (or someone in the office) upgraded from the basic version of Office 95 (without Access) to Office 97 Professional (with Access)? I think I've heard about this problem before and the answer was something along that line.

Thanks Homer, but it was accually Office 2000 they were trying to run with Office 97 on the same machine, I found the problem and a fix here; Access Coexistence
I appreciate the input though,

Thanks😉

Ray
