The rebate forms that print out with your receipt state what you need to send them. One of the rebates says to send in the original UPC and the other one asks for a copy of it, so you can do both rebates!

If you don't have a CompUSA ad just print out the webpage on the compusa site.

This was a nice deal. I picked up the mouse & the 50 pack of CDR's that were free after rebate. Both the mouse & the CDR's have 2 rebates so the register was printing for a while ( 4 rebate slips, 4 rebate receipts & reg receipt)
Thanks for a nice one.

Went back to BB today and showed them the CompUSA web printout. They price-matched in a sec. I'm getting more than $11 back because of the 110% price match thingy...

Final price is $5.44 including tax.

$5 for a name-brand 6,000/s optical USB mouse... I love this forum.

Went to get the price match at BB and the biatch behind the counter gave me a lecture about how if ChumpUSA didnt have the mouse in stock that BB wouldnt match it. She then proceeded to call the local ChumpUSA and wait on hold for 10 mintues just to verify they had that model in stock, which they did. Then she gave me the 110% PM. I never knew they verified availability....

Got one from Rego Park, New York! The mouse rings up for $29.99, no need to PM. But the CSR insisted there is no rebate forms printing out. It doesn't matter coz I can always download the forms online.

Bought mine on Monday. Took the receipt in today to PM and they did it without batting an eyelash. Got the 10% also.
Very happy with it so far. Thanks for the find!

damn..i just went in and couldn't PM it cause they called compusa and they said its sold out
i came home and checked their stock and it said its available...
go figure...

just picked mine up today. thinking about getting another one tomorrow. you can't really go wrong for 15 bucks. and yes, they ARE 6000/sec these mice rock!!

ok, i thought this was a pretty hot deal but not that many people are replying to this thread. i guess i'll bump it anyways 🙂

Will BB match a Compusa ad, even if the closest Compusa is probably 100 miles away? (referring to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA)...

I may still pick it up anyway...$15 is a hot deal, it's just that $5 is even hotter. This'll be a nice mouse to use while I send my Razer Boomslang 2000 in to be repaired 🙁

man, i'm debating if i should keep this mouse. it'll be a great replacement for my old logitech wheel mouse which i got right around when it first came out, so thats a long time ago...
but i hate the feeling that i could have gotten it for $5, so don't really want to pay $15
guess this is the only downside to hot deals forums when u discover u could have gotten something for cheaper
**sigh**

Try printing out the "IN-STOCK" page from CompUSA and bring it to BB. Maybe you'll get a friendlier clerk this time.

I went to Compusa, picked up a copy of the ad, drove to Best Best buy and they price matched it no problem.

Good Deal. Thanks. 🙂

Also, the box says "tracks movement by scanning your desktop 6,000 times per second" 🙂

I went to BB tonight. With the CompUSA ad and the mouse in my hand, I just walked straight to CSR. The rep called CompUSA to verify that the mouse is in stock, then they PM it. No hassle at all. Thanks for the deal.

I went to bestbuy this morning, picked up the mouse and PM with the compUSA ad + 10% diff. The employee was really nice and gave no hassle at all. $5 for this mouse that is usually $30+ is a pretty good deal. thanks!

Customer service at my local BB did not want to price match saying the BB price (after rebate) of $25 was less than the $30 at CompUsa. With a little persistance they matched.

Overall, my experience with price matching is that it is a pita, i.e., pain in the ass. Most hot deals relying on a large price match make me want to take a nap just reading them.

Well, I just got back from BB and they wouldn't price match. I showed him the web printout, and he said "we don't price match online." So I said "it's the same price in the store, you can call them and check." After waiting on hold with them for 15 minutes he hung up and told me it didn't matter, since they only match the before rebate price of $40. I got it anyway, $15 is still pretty good. So YMMV.

I can also report that this is definitely the new 6000 sample/second IntelliEye. I have the identical Intellimouse Optical, but the 1.0 version with the old eye. On the old mouse, if you zipped it across your desk the pointer would go crazy.. sucked for games. I plugged in the new one, and It's much better behaved. Highly recommended.

<< I interned at MS over the summer, and saw some really sweet prototype mouses. This is definitely a good deal, think I'll get one tomorrow.
