MS Flight Sim 2000: can't get vid acceleration to work

I've had MS Flight Sim 2000 working perfectly on my rig for some time. I just did a Windows reinstall (98se) and now vid acceleration doesn't work. It looks like its running in normal hardware acceleration mode. There aren't many setup options in the program. Anyone know what I should check here? I can't figure it out. Its darned hard to see the runway without 3d acceleration.

Ok, last time. Sorry to bump again but I've tried everything. Reinstall didn't work. Don't know what to try here and with vid acceleration, this game is useless.
