MS Entourage issues Exchange Server

Everything I've found on the web says that all I need to have our office Mac w/ the newest version of Entourage access the Global Address List is to point it at a domain controller, but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case as it fails repeatedly.

Anyone have any experience with this and have a pointer or two?

UseNet post: LDAP/GAL Entourage 2004 SP2

Microsoft has a large whitepaper on getting Macs to work with Windows servers. I don't have the link at this moment, but I'm sure you can find it with a quick search on the MS site.

I have one client with Macs and Entourage and SBS 2003, but they haven't complained of this particular problem

It's a new G5 running OS X 10.4.x

It communicates well enough with the exchange server to send/receive email but it refuses to figure out the whole Global Address Book thing.

Did you try the advice given in the UseNet post I referenced? That person had identical symptoms to yours. And the answer came from a Macintosh MVP (which I'm definitely NOT).
