Is there an MS-DOS emulator for windows XP that lets you play vero old dos games?

I was trying to make Privateer II work again (It's sooo much better than freelancer, by the way), but the bloody thing doesn't support any form of windows environement, compatability settings, or cmd commands.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks

DOSbox. Learn it, Love it, Relive it. Great program.

I was playing Cannon Fodder last night on my 2500+ Barton and 9800P. A Farcry from Dawn Of War :p

Yes DOSbox would work although you might want to check out VDMSound. DOSbox seems very CPU dependent while VDMSound seems less so. To get sound in some games you might also need VDMSound.

On another note, I wish VDMSound could get the sound effects working in Ultima 8. Oh well.:(
