REPOSTED from Tech Support - no one answered in there
I built a system in Access 2003 for an in-house solution for a department. I am not initially a Windows programmer. Mostly LINUX based systems in C++ and Java and a few embedded, but this company does everything in Windows. The problem being that that specific department has extremely antiquated systems (Windows NT), and do not have Access installed on their systems.
I posted on another tech forum, and discovered the Access 2000 Runtime and installed that on their system. The problem being, I have noticed that certain parts of the program (like the Date() function, a lot of DoCmd functions (FormFind), and an Outlook object email do not seem to work on there systems still.
Can anyone suggest a solution? I am beginning to question if I should upgrade them to XP, but preferably I don't have to do this. Is there library file I can install to get rid of this error, or will I have to upgrade. Thanks, again.
