That poster posts rickroll links excessively with Java scripts that open more windows.
Motion for vacation.

He calls himself "Rickroll master". What an asshole.

edit: in one thread he said he won't try it again..hmm

That thread was from yesterday, which I also cleaned up. I warned him at 7PM tonight to knock it off. I am getting real tired of cleaning up his rickrolling threads. :| They don't pay me enough to walk around with a pooper scooper in this joint.

Unless marked as such we've been vacationing for those threads, especially when the target page is on of the more annoying 'create a million windows' ones. Give him a week, does it again two, repeat at neccesary :)

After all the warnings and vacations, this type of behavior should now garnish a vacation of at LEAST 1 month, if not a permaban. The children have been warned enough.

I noticed that someone did it in this thread too: Text

You have to be a special kind of stupid to post a RickRolling link in a PFI thread where moderators are discussing it. That link is one of the more annoying browswer killing ones, see you after a bit.

Just for the sake of clarity....

Is all Rickrolling a banable offense or just the incidents involving a roll that involves multiple windows opening and some users have to kill their browser session and start anew?

If the latter......have I got a softball waiting to be belted out of the park. ;)

Its not generally banable, but its vacationable. That depends on the user, the event, their history, etc. So I cant just say if you find one that person gets a vacation. A user with no history will probably just get a warning, someone who has a history of 'trouble' might get something different. Just like a cop may give one speeder a warning if he/she feels the driver will listen and another ticket if he/she feels the need to learn the lesson fully.

Thanks for the explanation. Although I have no history whatsoever of doing anything like that....I don't think that I will test fate.

On another forum I frequent, they have made a script for today that changes all links in posts to rickrolls. :p At least they're just the youtube video and not the java spam.
