Hum.. interesting that you went to Milan. Usually it's not a tourists' destination. How did you like it?

I see there were Botero's sculptures... were they in the Piazza del Duomo?

Holy crap!!! That's $25 for fish and chips!

What did you have on that menu? Hope it was good at least.

I had the steak, mushroom, and guinness pie. It was good, but not $25 good!

$750 should have gotten you more than 370 pounds.

What happened?

:Q

Three words: Airport Money Exchange. Stupid, I know. 🙁

I would NOT recommend Milan (unless you are a multimillionaire and can afford to pay 600 Euros for a pair of Dolce & Gabbana leggings). We were only there because of a Eurail layover, we arrived at 8am and departed at 10pm. It was fun to window shop for the first hour, then we saw as many sights as possible (parks, Botero's sculptures which were within walking distance from the Piazza del Duomo, etc.) and left. I'm glad it was only a day trip and we won't be back, we much preferred Rome and hope to visit Florence, etc. someday. I've been to Venice before and didn't like it either.

Yeah, I know Milan quite well, that's why I asked you if you liked it. It's not a place tourists usually go to.

How come you didn't like Venice? :Q

RyanAir is the SH*T.. be flexable with them though, all flights are standby flights. You might have to fight to the death for a seat, but well worth it for the 50 euro is costs to fly pretty much anywhere.

I have to say it.. You are significantly hotter than your sister. (Although you both look great..)

That said... Great pictures 🙂 Now I want to go to Europe...

London

My sis loves Harry Potter

I know it was probably a waste of time but I was there and actually went to watch a movie. ASSIGNED SEATING!!!!! So we booked something that was playing later that night and so got prime seating without having to wait in line. We practically showed up 1 minute before it started playing and took our spot in front and center.

Did you see the movie at that very theatre? How cool!

I've been in that cinema a few times, obscenely pricey...but it is in Leciester Square. I think the tickets are £13 for the big cinema screen there?

Your trip looks sweet.

I live about 25mins away from London and rocking in after I finish working at my parents shop in 40minutes time 🙂

LOL, I need to create a fake female account with a fake sister pic, look at all these responses from guys coming out of the woodwork...

Go to Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia) from London. Flight is around 40 Euros.

And stop by Toledo and buy a sword. Swords are cool. 😛

that's about the exchange rate, IIRC. ~$2.5 / pound

i'm surprised how much things cost - 13 for a ticket and 25 for fish/chips.

anyone know what the typical salary is in the UK?

Right now ~$2.00 == 1 pound. London is pretty damn expensive, but maybe the natives know where the non-tourist-trap sources are. The average income is ~40,000 pounds a year, which is definitely higher than the average in the US, so maybe it works out...
