Mr. and Mrs. Smith sucked worse than I thought

I remember when the credits started rolling, I was like, "What, movie's over? That's it? THAT was the final shootout?"

Pros: Jolie looked hot.
Cons: Everything else.

I think Brad Pit is a good actor and that Angelina Jolie is decent, personally, but then again, I was like... dang, I wouldn't watch the movie for free. Nothing about the adverising appealed to me, nor the concept of the movie. Transporter 2 had some good marketting campaigns, but then I heard it sucked so I didn't bother watching that one either.

T2 was crap. I loved the original, but this one was more about stupid car tricks then stupid martial arts tricks. There was only one martial arts scene that even approached the stuff that made me enjoy the original.

And that plane thing at the end....*groan*.

interesting to see the previous blonde da from svu turn up.
not as bad as a uwe boll film...
but beyond seeing brad and jolie together, wasn't much point to watching

On the bright side, it gave us months and months and months of coverage of the Angelina/Pitt/Anniston triangle + the months and months and months of baby coverage.

Oh wait...there was no bright side.

The movie is what it is. Which isn't saying much. But at least the ad campaign didn't mislead anyone into thinking it was a high drama. You got what you expected...a predictable bleh movie that wasn't terrible but was utterly forgetable.

2 good looking people shooting at each other & everyone else, filled with plenty of explosions and moderate comedy.

Meh. Its a nice summer popcorn movie.

I had heard it was better than it looked, so i rented it. it was terrible. i quit halfway through. it was too unrealistic and unbelievable for me to enjoy. its not very often that happens because i know movies are entertainment, but i just couldn't buy into a single thing happening. too hollywood for my taste.

I loved it. I just finished watching it from when I saved it in my DVR. It's funny, has guns, has hotness, and just plain old fun.

I thought it was "meh" at best until the ending. So this highly trained force of like 40 elite troop guys with assault rifles surrounding a little wood shed in a department store where they KNOW the two they're after are hiding can't manage to hit them once as they dance around in circles, or better yet, fill the shed with shots killing them while they layed on the floor? Naw, instead they all managed to get shot by a ballerina act.

I want to know why the guys with the rocket launchers were so bad.
  1. If they were willing to use the rockets during the firefight, then why didn't they just blow up the shed and be done with it?
  2. Why didn't they shoot at the floor so that the dancing and spinning would be ineffectual at dodging the rocket's blast radius?
I was sort of hoping that they'd do some sort of rocket-jumping BS where they shoot more hostiles while flying through the air, then finish the last guy with a two-person kick on the way down. It wouldn't have been much more unbelievable.

I thought it was good escapist fun. I think anyone who's criticizing it as unrealistic is missing the point. Actually it was a minor miracle to me that they managed to make a romantic action comedy that worked on all three fronts. I'd give it a solid 3 stars.
