MPEG-2 editor?

I just purchased an ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder card and would like to edit the video files I'm creating when I record off the cable TV feed. Can anyone recommend a cheap, basic MPEG-2 editor? All I'm really looking to do is cut out the commercials before I burn it to CD.

Thanks for the advice... it looks like MPEG Scissors will do the trick.
