I believe the constitution says you are wrong. Lobbying is having your grievences address by your representation.

What you are saying is nobody should be able to lobby their representative to vote a way they want done. Kind of defeats the purpose of a representative democracy doesnt it?


I have no problem with individuals lobbying their own ideas. I have a problem with them hiring professional lobbyists to do this full time, and in a shady manner (pseudo-bribery, expensive gifts, trips, etc..).

Bribery is already illegal. I believe there are already extensive guidelines on what sorts of gifts elected officials can accept.
