MP4 format

I have purchased a number of songs from iTunes and transferred them to another computer but I'm not sure I want to deal with iTunes on this pc any other programs run this format.

I just downloaded an MP4 codec, plays the files fine in WMP10. If you change the file entension to .mpg then even Media Center can find it. I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the codec though.

Edit - this was for MP4 video files downloaded through Google Videos, I'm not sure how it works with iTunes DRM protected music.

One more reason not to purchase legal music downloads.

Seriously, I hate these DRM and compatibility issues between portable and software players. ...and the fact they won't let you download lossless (at least not that I've seen).
