when I use easy creator 4 and drag down an mp3 to convert to wave it tells me this is not a valid audio file and will not be added to the track list. It worked before but for some reason it does not work now. I dont know if it is hardware or software problem..I unistalled the software and reinstalled it and it did the same thing ...I ve try everey thing I know..Can someone please help me..I have an Iomega 12/10/32 CDRW.

Try another program like WinAmp to go from mp3 to wav and see if that works.

Update the adaptec there an new updates for it, restart your system afterward. Then click on Music Cd instead of data.. Drag the mp3's down to the box and burn... Later and Happy new year

If you give me your e-mail, I can send you a little software that'll do all those types of conversions. Is pretty cool and real simple to use. I use it all the time and it works great, Is a small program. Let me know if you want it.

I think the problem is that the mp3 file is not encoded at what EZCD considers the "default" encoding (128kbps, 44hz) so it doesn't recognize the mp3. Try loading it in Winamp, going to the Output plugins and selecting Disk Writer or something similar to that, and then play the mp3. It will save it to your HDD as a WAV file and then it should work flawlessly in EZCD.

I dont know if this is the same problem, but I was having something similar happen with NEro. I had files that it wouldnt let me copy over, and it seemed that they were at either higher or lower speeds than the default 128k. I used MusicMatch to convert these mp3's to 128k from whatever they were, and my problem was fixed...
