Can a MP3 file be burnt to a CD and played in a standard CD player or does it have to be converted to another format before the burning of the CD?
Thanks for your help!!

It will depend on your CD player's specs. Some will play MP3, some will not.
Check your manual. Even if your player does not play MP3 you can always use Windows Media Player to burn the MP3 to CD as an "audio CD". The "audio CD" format will generally play on any CD player including car CD players.
