mp3 question

most of my mp3's i own are a variable bit-rate. meaning that the bitrate is always moving. I rip them at 192, but they always end up moving up and down, thus making it so i cant burn them. I tried downloading them from a friend, still it has a variable bit rate on my machine but not his. Can anyone help out

I've never had a problem burning variable bitrate..not that I recall, anyway..

I use Nero --> Create Audio CD

think it will make variable bitrate songs, one bitrate instead of 100?

What's it say?

My Nero 5.5.10 creates audio CDs from VBR mp3s (made using LAME's alt preset standard) fine. I suspect it could be due to dodgy mp3 encoding resulting in incompatible header info. What encoder was used to make your mp3s?

In your case, I would resort to converting all the mp3s to WAV e.g. via Winamp's diskwriter option, and then use Nero to burn them.

Use Winamp or FB2K to make them WAVs, then burn.
Nero isn't good for MP3s.
Deepburner seems to do a good job.

Uh, if the song is encoded at a bitrate of 64, you will gain nothing from re-encoding it to 128, you'll actually probably lose a bit more in the re-compression.

yea what the hell are you doing, makes no sense. nero burns any mp3 just fine..variable bitrate, abr, cbr whatever.
what did u use to encode?
you need to read up on the whole process. your understanding is so screwed up we can't understand whats wrong.
