I just got a new portable MP3 player, an RCA 2410 I believe. Anyway, I just recorded a CD with all the highest quality MP3 files I have. Most are 320 kbps. For some reason the player will only play about 15 to 20 seconds of each song, then skip to the next one. In the manual it says it supports 64 to 256 kbps and VBR rates. Do you think my player just don't support my 320kbps stuff or something else?? I'm thinking of returning it.

Why do you need everything ripped at 320? Unless you have the most amazing pair of headphones ever to go along with the player, you're just wasting space with those big files. I mostly use mine for taking to the gym, etc so I just record everthing at 128....sounds fine and takes up a lot less space.

I know that's not an answer to your orig. question tho...sorry.

you sure it's not on "intro mode" or something like that? If you turn on "intro" on my CD/MP3 player in the car, it plays the first 5 seconds of each song and skips to the next song, so you can find the song you're looking for quickly.
