Mp3 Players on CompactFlash? Or anything else that holds 256MB

Aside from the NexII and the NexIIe, what other mp3 players run on CompactFlash? Rio's and most of the other others (Nomads as well) run on SmartMedia, but I'm looking to get something slightly larger (Around 256MB which SM doesn't do). So anyone else know of any other players?

Thanks! :)

Change your thread title; it's got nothing to do with your question!! Well, in a cryptic kind of spend a half hour figuring it out kind of way.

But if I changed it, then people wouldn't randomly think it's important, and they wouldn't click. lol. Changed to make you happy :)

You should also make sure that the players support memory cards that large (whether SM/SD or CF). Nomad takes SD cards and there are high capacity SD cards but the firmware only supports up to 128MB.

If you want that many music, an MP3/CD player might be a better option for you. Or else, I say you just buy any decent MP3 player (like Nomad) and buy 2 128MB SD cards.

My other suggestion is to get a hold of one of the older PocketPC models.

They shouldn't cost too much (like some of the Casios) and should serve nicely as MP3 players and more.

Yea, I've already got a PocketPC, an Amigo 600c with a 128CF card. It's getting too big now, and the video/remote controller/email checker/msn/word/excel/IE/mp3 player is getting too big. Something maybe with a bigger battery life? It lasts about a couple hours, 2-3 maybe, and if the backlight is on, it kills the battery. Pretty big too.

Battery life, and size are the biggest factors.
Storage space and price come next, I work, but I can't exactly afford an IPod yet. I'm only 17 :)

I had an MD before, but I sold it because I had a Rio.. then I sold that, because I got a PocketPC.. hehe.. :D
