i've been a really big fan of Winamp since it came out, but my collection has grown too large to use Winamp's simple playlist. is there such an mp3/media player that has a Tree View organization for artists/album/genre?

the winamp library interface isnt very good to use...i think its more designed to find an mp3 ...i was thinking of something to use entirely as a playlist

There's a plug-in for Winamp3 that works like explorer. It's called explorer playlist, only problem is I haven't been able to get it to run on Win2k. It works fine on my XP machine.

If you're using winamp3 just select your playlist and hit F3.

You can start multiple lists and populate them easily. Not sure if this is what you're after.

the problem is that i use winamp 2.9x ; winamp3 is just too much crap (i.e bloatware). the new winamp2.9 has a media library but everytime i double click a file that i want played, it clears my playlist and adds that to a new one. i just wanna be able to have my playlist sorted in a tree like vew.

too bad they dont have anything like iTunes for the PC; i was as my friends house recently and its really nice
