I only tried the iPod mini and I liked it... But, I would rather have more space on the HD. Main thing I want is QUALITY though. I was looking at the Zen Touch... What do you guys recommend?

thank, :)

Sound quality - Iriver... but they only go up to 1 GB.
Price/Features - between Creative Zen Touch, Micro, or Muvo 2 FM 5 GB (flash)
Budget - Some cheap 128 mb you can find at a store

That's odd... cause mine acts as a removeable drive...

Creative Muvo Slim 512 MB

Creative Zen Micro 5 GB works too..

creative HD-based mp3 players have 2 partitions. If you just plug it into any usb, it will access storage but if you have driver installed and read it through the program, it will go to the mp3 partition .

The 30GB Zen Xtra is on sale right now for like ~$154 I think. Try looking on techbargains or something. I have it, and it's a pretty good player. The only problem is that it's pretty big compared to an iPod, which doesn't matter to me, but if you mind bulkyness, look for something else instead.

The Dell DJ is a rebadged Creative player. They're a good deal for the price if you don't mind the bulk. If you want lots of storage and don't mind the size, the Zen Xtra goes up to 60GB and costs the same as the other hard drive players. It uses a 2.5" laptop drive which is bigger and cheaper than the smaller drives in the Zen Micro and Zen Touch.

If you don't want the muvo2 fm (I wanted it, but it didn't release until after Christmas) (5 GB, same as zen micro, but with I think a bit longer battery life, no touch though), I'd go with zen touch.

I'd go for a Creative. The Zen Micro will let you access the drive like a flash drive...with the latest firmware you can organize by folders, etc. No need for their software...but you do need their driver.

Also, Red Chair Software (google it) makes software called Notmad Explorer that simplifies transferring to/from Creative MP3 devices.

I tried out my brothers Ipod, i'm in love with it.

The Zen Micro is nice but it also sucks that it only has 5 gigs of storage.

5 gigs is nothing, the Ipod im using now has 1,600 songs using 6.3 GB on the Ipod.

I will repeat a lot of what was already posted but her is my opinions, I have or have had all these and my findings are:

Ipod, great interface, short on features, not that great sound quality

IRiver, poor interface, many features, excellent sound quality

Creative, good interface, many features, excellent sound quality, 2nd only to IRiver.

Also as for smaller players which you didn't seem to ask about, but I have an Ipod Shuffle as well, and it is basic and with not good sound quality at all, but that is what it is good for, for me maybe dropping a couple podcasts on there and mowing the grass and it is well suited, it is very durable. Now I just bought one of the little Mobiblu cubes DAH-1500i (I think) and this is a superb sounding little player with great features but only 1GB so it probably won't fit your needs.
