I listen to a lot of podcasts. But, not much music. I don't want to spend much money. I currently listen to them on my Palm with a 512mb memory card. So, as long as it has at least that much memory, I'm fine. The only thing it must do is, when it's shut off it should remember where it was at when it comes back on.

The size is fine. I don't want to use my Palm anymore. I'm having to charge it every 3 days. At this rate the batteries will loose their ability to hold a charge. I'd like to not have to replace it for a long time.

Ah. Makes sense. Well, you could get a new battery for the Palm too. :) I replaced the battery on my wife's using a kit that I bought on Ebay...

But, I'm not a good person for MP3 player advice - I'm like one of the many using Apple's. Although I like the MP3 players from Samsung in general, for podcasts, I like iTunes. So for a long time I used my Nano and now I use my iPhone. I think plenty of people make better MP3 players than Apple, but I haven't seen software that is as good as iTunes at keeping podcasts up to date.
