Whats up everone. Im looking into getting an new mp3 player. I have a creative muvo 512MB tx currently that i use for jogging and works really well. I now want to get a HD based unit. I was thinking that i have wanted to get a PDA for awhile but couldn't warrant the cost for what you can use them for. THen i was like i want a mp3 player but a pda will not cost me that much more and i can use it for a mp3 also. Is there any bad points to my decision? Here is what i want from my mp3 player:

1) Rechargable battery
2) good interface
3) good compatability with download services and drm in general. I know its a mixed bag with mp3 players. It seems like most creative mp3 players have good compatability. I tend to like to use walmart.com because they are the cheapest.

If you guys don't recommend using a pda then help me choose what i need. I don't want to spend much over $200 if its only going to be an mp3 player. I don't think you can run or do physical activities with the hard drive units as far as i know correct? I like the zen micro but the price of it is as much as you can get some units that have 15-20GB of storage and the zen only had 5GB.

thanks,

Newegg offers a nice starting point for this sort of thing. You can set up a list of mp3 players (or pdas) with the features you want, all in order of price, and browse the reviews to see which model best suits you.

I guess that won't exactly answer my question though...will you damage a HD based player by running with it? I know like the ipod mini has a 20-25 minute buffer on it but if im still running and the hard drive starts to spin up..couldn't this damage the hd?
