Phew, over the last couple of days I digitized all my CD's and saved them as mp3s on my computer.
To save time, I saved tham all with the following file naming format:
Artist - Songtitle.mp3

Is there a program that will save the artist's name and the songtitle in the ID tag for the file?
And I also wouldn't mind if the year and genre are looked up on the internet and saved in the ID tag too.
Since I have way too many songs to do this manually, I am looking for a simple program to do this for me.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

I'm not sure about the Artist and Songtitle, though I'd image there are ID3 tag managers out there capable of it.
As for the year and genre, you'd likely have to do that manually. CDDB lookup would get all the info needed, but it needs the original CD to know what to look for, as far as I know.

Unrelated: I trust you used a good MP3 encoder? LAME 3.96.1 seems to be good. I've gotten audio glitches and pops with 3.93, and a few less with 3.95. They seem to have gotten it right with 3.96.1.

All of the mp3 encoders I have used automatically create id3 tags when you rip the CD. I have used musicmatch and itunes and they all do what you are looking for.
