All of a sudden, I open up winamp, and It doesnt see any of my mp3's. So I go into the directory through "My Computer" and all of my mp3's are now some VB Script File? I at first thought I got a trojan maybe, or am I wrong? Please help =p

oh damn...hehe.....replacing mp3's with vbs files, thats just evil 😛

not only is your system fuxored, but your mp3's are gone. i hope you backed up :/

Wait a minute.... the system is not totally hosed.

I rescued 1,500 mp3's off a system that had the lovelettr virus. Just get yourself a virus scanner and update it, then scan the system.

Or you could manually delete the .vbs extension off all your mp3s 1 at a time. The virus doesn't actually infect the mp3 it just changes the extension.

Afterwards make sure you do a full virus scan "just to be sure" before you play any of the mp3s though.
