MP3 cell phones for Sprint

It's about time for me to get a new cell phone. I remember when I bought my current phone 4 years ago, Samsung had just released the SCP-M100 Uproar, which had 64 megs of memory to play mp3s. Has technology improved where there are others or did the RIAA squash mp3 playing cell phones?

Can anyone comment on the Samsung M100? I'd consider it if it has good reception and the MP3 player is adequate.

I want to be able to bring a couple songs into my car without burning a whole cd (my headunit plays mp3 cds) and since I already carry a cell phone, I don't have to carry another piece of hardware with me.

The Treo 600 is way overkill for what I want. I don't even really care if it has a color screen so much that it has good reception and is easy to use.

I don't want an ipod. I have no need to carry around another thing. I just fail to see why there haven't been any more phones that are mp3 capable... maybe I'm just missing out.

dmurray, here's a link to one of the few professional reviews I've been able to find on the M100.

Yeeeouch, $470! You'd think as cheap as they can make digital cameras that mp3 players would be second nature.
