MP3 Audio Recorders - any recommendations?

I am looking to buy an audio recorder that records in MP3 format, and has USB 2.0 or better connectors, with the ability to hold at least 10 hours on high quality, and effectively filter background noise without external mics. I prefer something that uses AA or AAA batteries (no USB charged devices ) and be at least somewhat user friendly. Any ideas?

I don't know of any effective models but many podcasters use an iRiver player to record when they are on the road.
