is the mp like the opteron of today larger cache and slightly lower temps and higher reliablity

The mp is made for mobile computers(laptops) the xp is for desktops.I also think the mp runs at lower voltage.I heard it overclocks good.

For the most thing MPs are exactly the same as XPs, only MPs can run in dual configuration and positioned toward workstation/server market, while XP is for single CPU desktop systems..

They have same ammount a cache, but MPs could be slightly more reliable because, I think, they are/were tested more rigorously.

sgtBaker: you're thinking of XP-Ms or XP Mobiles: these have lower vcores and unlocked multipliers, and can overclock better than their desktop counterparts.

Yes, NF2 should be slightly faster than KT266. I don't know if the MP's are unlocked or not. I believe it's a Palomino core running at 1.53 ghz, so I would imagine its peak OC is somewhere around 1.65-1.7 ghz or so.
