I'm using it right now in Redhat 7.2 at work, but I don't know if I like it enough to switch when I'm at home using XP. For linux, it beats the pants off of netscape 4.79 and konqueror which are both on here

A lot of corporations are really stupid sometimes and only allow specific browsers to enter their site.
Nothing like visiting a major corporation and being told that you need Netscape 4.0+ when you're
using Netscape 6.22, and not allowing you to enter the site anyways.

Yes you should care! Blame your dumbass grocerer for hiring a dumbass company that doesn't comply with standards, not mozilla and the opensource crowd.

Mozilla has been consistently(sp?) a week late with everything, makes me wonder why whoever makes these dates hasn't learned to predict more correctly. For example, they said that Mozilla 1 RC1 would be released this week, but of course it won't be up until next.

I wasn't saying you should USE Mozilla. I didn't say you should care, either. You implied that Mozilla "wasn't working" because it doesn't render a site how IE does. I was merely correcting your misinterpretation of the situation. The fact is, in all likelyhood Mozilla is working EXACTLY as it should. I personally do care about standards compliance, considering the Internet wouldn't be where it is today without it (MS has done a lot of harm to us in this regard where it could have been much more helpful).

I'm not blaming mozilla at all. I never said that they are the ones at fault, I just said that it's a shame major sites like that still have problems following the standars and that at the end of the day I just want to get the job done.

Everytime a site won't work I will be wondering whether the site is actually down or failling to work with mozilla. I couldn't do that.

Mozilla 0.9.9 is great. It is *MUCH* faster than previous versions. And of course, tabbing rules

Heck, I'm still on 0.9.8 and it mops the floor with IE5.5 in page rendering speed on my W2K machine. Never thought I'd see the day, but a big well done, standing ovation, and pat on the back to the Mozilla team. Also, it's just a 10 MB download! And tabbing and popup blocking are da bomb!

I use Galeon, which is based on Mozilla 0.9.8. I need to update it.

I don't like Netscape/Mozilla broswers on Windows. I really like IE.

AOL is already beta testing with the Gecko browser.

AOL upgraded to version 7.0 a few weeks ago, and have already announced that AOL 8.0 will replace IE with Mozilla-based Netscape. That's not quite a guaranteed immediate 20 million users for Mozilla though, b/c upgrading is optional for AOL users, at least it was with AOL 7.0. But even if half of those AOL folks upgrade, then Mozilla will be back in the game. Never thought I'd like AOL for anything, but I do for this. IE you goin down, biatch!!!!

I just heard today from someone inside AOL/TW that they're having trouble internally using Mozilla 1 as the AOL engine. I hope they work it out, but don't expect the change anytime soon...
