for all people who uses firefox, just remember to get the extension bookmark backup, or you can lose your nicely organized bookmarks like i did.

No.

If your hard drive does the click of death and crashes you'll lose em.

You'd lose them in FF too though :p

Not if one implements a proper backup strategy to a suitable array of non-local disks; that is, unless one's entire facility was burnt to the ground.

One of the reasons I also make use of incremental off-site backups.

it IS a ff problem. if your computer crashes for whatever reason and firefox was still running. chances are you may lose ALL of your bookmarks.

i had to to a hard restart when my burner was failing and nero wouldn't close. that is how i lose ALL of my bookmarks.

No.

I'm saying that if your hard drive died, you'd lose your bookmarks\favorites in IE and Opera as well. I just said firefox is no exception.

If you can't figure out how to make IE your default browser, you shouldn't be using firefox in the first place (muchless going outside without your mother.)

Same, I was overwhelmed with curiosity as to what the giant "Free Screensavers!" image was, took me a few minutes to realise it was a popup advertisement.
