Mozilla Firefox Themes...Not Working?

So I want to get a new feel and download a Theme for Mozilla Firefox 1.0.

Once I download it, it tells me to restart. So I close firefox, and open it.

Same old theme.

Alt+Ctrl+Delete, Task MAnager, Delete firefox.exe

Restart it.

Same old theme.

WTF?

There are surprisingly very few decent themes for Firefox.

Anyways, are you sure that the theme you downloaded isn't for an earlier version of Firefox?

I have FireFox 1.0

Requires: Firefox: 1.0 - 1.0+

Most Popular Firefox Themes:
Noia 2.0 (eXtreme), 23951 downloads
This is a fully skinned version. This theme is based on the Noia2.0 icon set by Carlitus.

1. I downloaded the Theme
2. I restarted Firefox
3. I went to Tools-->Themes-->Clicked on the Theme-->Use Theme.

The same boring theme is still present. Why?

do what dell support would tell you to do... try restarting the computer and see if that fixes the problem.

also i'd uninstall any previous versions of FF.

I just reformatted my HD 2 days ago and this is the only version of FF i got. I got this straight from the FF website.

I clicked on Use Theme, Restarted, and it's still the same.

WTF?

Did you check with Mozilla's forums? The answer or atleast good advice may be there.

OK I found the problem. Right on the website it says it is incompatible with the current version of FF.

I was having the same prob..

The box that stores all the themes ALSO needs to be close..

So i applied the new theme. Alt + F4 close everything, reopen and it works.

🙂

I noticed a similar problem. I had to uninstall the theme, restart Firefox, reinstall theme, select apply and then restart Firefox. It is up and running.
