Mozilla Firefox 37.0.1 Final

I tried to give Chrome a chance, but I always go back to Firefox. It seems to me that Firefox is more refined, even though it might be a little slower.

On some machines I've checked for the update from within FF, it is not saying there is a new version so i've just had to download it.. not sure why.

Nice. After I clicked on "User CP -> Edit Options -> Number of Posts to Show Per Page -> 100", then tried to load that link, I hit the "End" key then tried to scroll back up, and it kept loading images for about 30 seconds, then crashed my browser. Tried again with Javascript off and it gets as far as downloading around 120MB worth of images then just stops, and half the images are still blank. My guess is that a "cache" value in about:config needs to be raised. Pretty hilarious how many large images there were though, don't think I would keep using "100 posts per page" for something like that. Was this an April Fool's prank?

edit: Pale Moon v24 managed to catch (and display) them all. 104MB received. The browser became unstable after I opened more tabs though and I had to restart - lol. FF37 didn't even display half of the images before getting stuck.

I've been noticing more and more web pages that do not work with Firefox and Cyberfox, mostly things like videos, image galleries and internal hyperlinks. You would think that having websites work across all, or most, internet browsers is a main goal of website design, I don't know what the deal is.

It's far easier to ensure that your website is compliant to the existing standards, and put the responsibility on browsers to render compliant websites properly.

Yeah, you don't need different web site versions for different browsers, most of the time you just need to add multiple values to the code. Maybe a different version of a website for mobile devices while they slowly switch to HTML 5.

I think some of the problems I am having with Firefox and Cyberfox have to do with uBlock. It blocks a lot of ads, but also some scripts that run photo galleries.

With some tweaks using Classic Theme Restorer + Classic Toolbars Buttons, I have my Cyberfox just like your Firefox

I didn't mind Firefox 36 in Linux, especially after being able to add this. At the moment I'm using the default Pale Moon v24.7.1 that came installed, maybe when the FF37 gets sorted out I'll add it back again (or not). It's a simple "drop firefox.tar.gz into opt folder" for me so I can just do it whenever I'm in the mood.

Does anyone know if they plan to add back in HTTP2 Altsvc in the next ver? It seems like they just disabled it in a quick way to fix the problem for now.

I believe they plan to re-enabled it once they finish investigating the current problem[1][2]. Not sure if it'll happen in a point release or if they're planning on waiting for the next major version.

Updated to 37.0.1 from v36 something. Told to restart FF. But got an error message that the file was only partial downloaded. Clicked a button to re-download. From there everything went (hopefully) fine.
