I had similar problems. After a second install of googlebar, it worked OK, though.

I should probably uninstall .9 and then install/uninstall .8 just to make sure .8 is cleaned out properly.

Uhm, where the heck did the Tabbar extension go??? OMFG that was the best extension ever. Thats enough to revert me back to 0.8.

Just did the 0.9 upgrade & seems the back button is much much faster than 0.8. Is it just Me? & the look is better too, Very Nice!

.9 ran fine for a while and then crashed on me ... now even after an uninstall and reinstall I couldn't get it to work so I went back to .8

this new version is better, but for the people who think there's something better than firefox or firefox is lacking please check the extensions websiste, and you will see all the power hidden in firefox

I try each version of Firebird/Firefox that comes out, but I just can't come over from Opera. Each time the Mozilla browser has been buggy or crash-prone

Can you open up a group of tabs in Opera? I have it, but it was either the lack of being able to open up a group of tabs or not being able to have a group of opened tabs replace the exiting tabs which kept me from using it much...

Cyberzen:

you are correct, .9 is buggy
first I used .9rc and got rid of it, then 4 days later I redownloaded the supposed "final" which had the exact same vers. # in properties.
my main problem (of many) is that when you open several tabs manually (not hotlinked) and enter urls in each, if the browser has any trouble with the script of a site, it freezes, not only that site but then all your tabs. you then have to close out the browser, losing everything. If you next try to do something on the desktop, you will see that you are still frozen, and have to use taskmanager to stop firefox - its still trying to connect even tho its closed. Some say its due to a "mem leak". the main guy on the mozilla forum seems to blame it on bad memes/scripts on the individual websites, but that doesnt explain behavior.
I have learned to live with it, just so that I dont have to worry about all the worms/viruses written with IE in mind.
And BTW: the d/l speeds are incorrect - they start high and go down - this has been admitted. It also starts the D/L after the save it window shows, even though you have not selected any path.

Dgouldin:
you are correct - .8 is much more stable.

And for those that cant find the add tabs icon - you right click somewhere in a dead spot in the navigation bar and click customize, and you can drag and drop that icon (and others) in (or out) - also the google search window

Finally, mozilla 1.7 final was out yesterday

I'm hoping it's less buggy than 0.8. That ver would sporadically crash on me, especially when I had about 5 or 6 tabs open.

I've been using Mozilla at work and Firefox at hom and I've found that Mozilla for some reason doesn't crash nearly as much (or at all) on me as Firefox does.

multiple tabs is definitely a problem, the more there are, the worse it gets, unless you keep hitting fast loading sites.

Anyone having problems with crashing should, at the very least, install Session Saver so that you won't lose all of your open tabs when you reload FF. It's my very favorite FF extension; can't live without.

That being said, I'm sticking with 0.8 until the kinks are worked out.

I prefer MyIE2.
When I do try and use Firefox, I keep trying to do things that I can easily do in MyIE2..such as double clicking on tabs to close them.
Umm... why double click on tabs when you can just middle click once in Firefox to close them? :) Or you can also hit ctrl+w to close the current tab.

And anybody else find the release notes pretty vague? What are these "Better bookmarks" that they speak of?

you can also middle click on tabs in MyIE2 to close them =p

Neat. Just tried the middle click on Opera and it works! Didn't know about that one.

What crashes are you guys having happen?

I used to use .8 firefox and never had a problem and now i am using .9 and it seems the same.

Does it have something to do with what pages you guys go to?

Free software that's always free isn't a hot deal. That's right, this deal's cold. Now, if you were talking about a Windows Media Player beta upgrade or something, then it would be hot. Useful software and it's Microsoft! Any time you can get Microsoft software free it's a hot deal.:wine:

i'm not saying the program is flawless as i know any free program is not

Its just i only go to the same webpages everyday and i never had a problem with any of them.

I was wondering what kind of programs other people have so if i run into them, I might be able to find out a way to fix it faster or something.

my bad guys for upsetting anyone
