Mozilla Firebird deleted my profile! :(

I recently installed Firefox 0.8. Seeing that it's just as good as firebird and automatically imported all the settings and bookmarks, I uninstalled Firebird and when it asked if I wanted to delete the profiles too, I said yes assuming that Firefox had its own profile. I was wrong. My profile is gone. Is there any possible way that I could get it back? =/

sucky .. unless you have some sort of data recovery, i doubt it.

I tried a few data recovery programs, but I guess they don't work if you install them after your data is gone. I did a system restore and it almost seemed to work, but it only recovered the firebird program and the directories where profiles were stored, but not the actual profiles. Time to build up my bookmarks from scratch. I had just deleted my backup files, including bookmarks, yesterday from a cd-rw too...

when it rains, it pours =(.

luckily, i really don't like keep my profile where it installed. if i do, i tend to copy it and leave it.
