it seems every so often my cookies will completely clear themselves. all my saved passwords for forums and such die out. It doesn't seem to work like IE in that if i visit the site all the time, the settings stay forever.

but that's not too big an issue, a bit of an annoyance. The other question is macromedia flash + shockwave never stay installed all that long. I can't really pin point to what it is, but it's really annoying.

Anyone have any input?

If your cookies and plugins are getting deleted periodically you're deleting something you shouldn't be periodically.

You may want to try this.

You have to be running netscape and then download the latest shockwave installer. It will install and detect your mozilla browser. If you try to download it when you're running mozilla, the shockwave website won't know what browser you are using. After you install it this way, Mozilla should recognize it.

Mac Forums

There's talk that Mac will offer native support for Mozilla in it's next version but nothing is official yet.

i've downloaded the installer.. i went thru that part the first day i installed mozilla.. damn macromedia refused to recognize it :)

Where in the world is the cookie settings in mozilla.. i could have sworn i saw it before. Like in IE.. asking about when to use cookies. I don't know what I could be deleting that removes them.. maybe the disk cache is too small? it's at 200MB right now (i keep it low cause virus scanning through the cache files is a PIA).

Edit / Preferences / Privacy and Security / Cookies.

I must say I'm liking Mozilla more and more. But, I also have had some glitches with Macromedia products and cookies. For example, I cannot log into my Yahoo email account in Mozilla. After entering the username and password, the same blank page loads asking for user and password. ????? Other than these few things, I like it.

well, as for the cookies thing.. why couldn't i find it... the orbit skin in the preferences is all screwed up.

I really like mozilla as well. Only problems i've had are 1)dpreview forums when replying (typing), it's slow.. and it's based on the resolution. at 16x12 it was horrible. But i'm back to a 17" monitor so not too bad 2) sometimes leaks to 100% cpu and won't let go 3) the macromedia/cookie problem i'm having and 4) can't use the address bar sometimes.. weird.
