I got so tired of Opera not being able to render web pages correctly that I deleted it from my hard drive, even though I paid $40 for the "bannerless" version.

Yep, that's why 7.0 looks compelling -- they're rewriting the rendering engine. Hopefully they'll add some of Mozilla's neat features like allowing requested (clicked) pop-up links.

mozilla is hella slow on my computer for some reason, much much slower then IE. if it wasn't so slow i'd use it a lot more, i even have quicktray thing enabled, yet content-loaded webpages bring my computer to a halt

I've had a few problems with some Java sites with mozilla 1.0, but other than that it's great. I LOVE the tab feature.

Nothing beats IE's speed on a WIN machine... it's basically built-in to the OS. On a mac, it's just another application. ;)

1.1's a lot faster too! As for IE, Opera is faster than IE, even though IE is entrenched into the OS.

I've been very pleased with Mozilla since version 1. I snagged 1.1 but haven't found any major differences as of yet. Definitely a keeper though, it's a solid browser and I love the pop-up removal and tabbed browser windows.

Well maybe... if you're willing to give up 15MB of RAM whenever your machine is on... that's what quick launch essentially does to your machine. No good for my work laptop that already has 196MB and is left with 20MB free (without a browser open) most of the time.

Still, it doesn't load faster than IE for me... though I do like Mozilla 1.1 over any of the Netscapes that are out.

It doesn't load faster because IE is already loaded when you start windows.

I love Mozilla, been using 1.1 beta since it came out, very stable. Gonna DL and install the final when I get home.
If I use the quicklaunch feature, it loads and runs faster than IE. Yes, that does mean that Mozilla hogs about 15MBs of RAM from system start-up but I don't blame Mozilla for that, I blame MS for pre-loading IE whether I want it or not. The browser is NOT the OS :|

The real question is:

Have they integrated a spell checker into the email program yet?

I like the popup killing, but i get this stupid Alert message everytime I go to certain sites:

Alert

The connection was refused when attempting to connect to ads.ad-flow.com

Any idea how to get this to stop popping up?

LanEvoVI, have you run AdAware to check for spyware?

BTW, for those concerned about Mozilla's memory footprint, the fault is MS' and there is an easy fix.

Open Windows Explorer, click Tools, Folder Options, and disable Offline Page Browsing. Then open regedit and go to HKLM\Software\Miocrosoft\Windows\Current Version\Run and delete the key for the Synchronization Manager aka mobsync.exe aka Microsoft Offline Browsing Synchronization Manager.

Now IE doesn't preload at Windows startup, which saves about ~10-15MB's of space (and load-up time) for Mozilla's pre-loader. Only drawback is that you can't browse pages offline with IE. As I have cable and not dial-up, this doesn't bother me.
